The Oddity Of Things (2019, JKS Student Film)
|
"This is the first short film I ever made as a first year student at the Joe Kubert School. I created a little story that evolves around my innermost private thoughts on how I viewed the world as a young child. The results of this dumb tale turned into an excellent animated short film.
The Oddity Of Things is a somewhat enchanting story about a slightly depressing shit-fest but hopefully interesting short film that evolves around my childhood and personal experiences such as my love for art, my burdens and upsides (mostly burdens) of my life-long otherworldly illness (...or disorder, whatever term) and my grade school soap opera. The little film is hand-drawn traditional animation, pencil and paper. This was colored on Toon Boom Harmony, all put together on Premiere Pro. The story, art, animation and narration was produced by me, with great assistance and a special thank you to my professional (and very talented) animation instructor, Doug Compton, who created this wonderful soundtrack and helped me tie this film together from the start!" |
